Terms of Service

Welcome to ZWAP. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ZWAP mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by Rural Technologies Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Each person may have only one account. Usernames must be unique and may not impersonate other people or entities.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Sell prohibited items including weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit products, or items that violate university policies
• List or promote alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, or drug paraphernalia
• Post sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Create multiple accounts or use automated tools to access the Service
• Post content that infringes intellectual property rights

4. Listings and Transactions

ZWAP is a peer-to-peer marketplace. We facilitate connections between buyers and sellers but are not a party to any transaction. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings, the quality of items or services offered, and the completion of transactions.

All transactions are conducted directly between users. We do not process payments, handle shipping, or guarantee the quality or delivery of items or services. We encourage users to meet in safe, public locations on campus for exchanges.

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Service (photos, descriptions, messages). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines without notice.

6. Student Verification

Student verification is optional but provides access to university-specific marketplaces. Verification is performed by sending a one-time code to your university email. We do not guarantee that all verified users are currently enrolled students.

7. Reviews and Reputation

Users may leave reviews after completing transactions. Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate these Terms.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed or anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of any user.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rural Technologies Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rural Technologies Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another user.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and changing the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
